Laughter is the best medicne!

UNC Walk for Health seeks to raise awareness of the importance of laughter as a key component of overall physical and mental well-being.

Deep belly laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the powerful brain chemicals that not only reduce the perception of pain, but also produce a positive feeling in the body. Studies have shown that after just 15 minutes of laughing, people get the same vascular benefit as they would from spending 15 to 30 minutes at the gym.
