Camp Mission:

Encourage youth participation in recreational activities and promote a life-long interest in maintaining physical fitness.

 About our Camp Co-Director

Coach Carl Poe has over 25 years of experience working with middle school, high school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional athletes in strength, power and speed agility training.

Coach Poe will coordinate sport-specific training to enhance skill and game performance as well as injury prevention components for the player.

Friday, June 15, 2018  OPENING DAY
2:15:pm – 2:30pm Registration and Orientation

Youth campers will perform athletic tests including dribbling, passing, shooting drills. Free-throw and three-point shooting contests. 

Senior campers (ages 60 and up) will perform gentle fitness routines and fun exercises – stretching, calisthenics, walking, shooting and dancing. 

Town of Chapel Hill formally honors Chapel Hill High’s girls soccer – 2018 3A State Champions (won on May 26, 2018). A Town Council member will read a proclamation to recognize the CHHS girls soccer team for their historic championship season and their remarkable display of athletic excellence.

 

Four Seasons will offer a special fitness experience: A fun jump rope training session with the Bouncing Bulldogs, a world-renowned award-winning jump rope team.

The Bouncing Bulldogs will perform and teach a new jump rope class.

Refreshments will be served, compliments of Mama Dip’s Kitchen. Choice of sweet potato pie, pecan pie, or vanilla ice cream.

Warm-up drills, calisthenics, introduction of team offenses, evaluation games

Coach Redfearn:  Two-ball handling, single-ball handling  drill, passing, proper shooting technique, videotaped shooting, team offenses, controlled scrimmages

Coach Poe:  Dynamic Warm-up, Cool-Down with Flexibility Stretching, and Strength Training

12:30pm – 1:30pm Lunch sponsored by Jimmy John’s/Coach Poe lecture

Grand Finale – Line Dancing

Campers, coaches and parents will be treated to entertainment by our resident DJ, the Dancing DJ, who will teach and lead several line dances to the music of favorite oldies and current hits.

The Camp shall operate at least one session every three months: Dates and location to be announced.

Eligibility

Both boys and girls are welcomed to attend Four Seasons. The Camp also invites coaches and athletic trainers from all levels to attend. All campers must be at least 12 years old.

Tuition Fee:

$40.00 per camper for Opening Day

Opening Day activities includes basketball instruction, athletic training, refreshments, live entertainment, Free-Throw and Three-Point contests, and lots of fun.
